new things.
November 1, 2011
This is my last post on this blog!!
It has been quite the whirlwind. Let me just tell you. I am so excited for this new change and all that it comes with and all that it represents. I have loved and will always cherish these first 3 years of my business. I have grown in ways I didn’t know were possible. I have worked my butt off and pulled many all nighters. I have met and told stories for some extraordinary people. And I have become an artist with a voice.
Change is a wonderful thing though. I am excited that I am not alone in this anymore. This new business and new partnership open up so many more opportunities for me as both a person and an artist. I am so excited to see where the next 3 years will take us.
Thank you all for you reading my blog and hopefully finding my life somewhat interesting.
Now I am going to drop on you some major linkage.

BIG announcement.
October 20, 2011
No, I’m not pregnant. Nice try though.
I don’t really know how to write about or explain it, so I’m just going to start typing, and then when I’m done I’ll hit the publish button. Whatevs.
So Eric and I are married. We got married July 4th, 2011. Best day ever. Those pictures will be coming to you very soon. The CD is expensive yo, and we are poor newlyweds.
Anyways, the funny thing about being married is that two work better than one. A lot better. Eric and I have been taking pictures together since we first started dating and then when we got engaged he started coming to shoots and weddings with me. All along, I secretly hoped that things would work out for us to go into business together but I didn’t want to force it on him. It was like one of those allergy commercials where it goes from dull and blurry to colorful and crisp. There is something Eric brings that I can’t really explain but I know that I am a better artist when he is around. Eric has a really unique and beautiful way of seeing the world that is really loud in his photographs. In the past few months everything has perfectly fallen into place and we are so excited to announce …
We are going to be a husband and wife photography team!!!!
There are 987 other reasons for this change that we will go talk more about when we launch our new company on
11.1.11
In the meantime, while we slave trying to get everything ready for our launch, enjoy some photos from a day we spent in Omaha. Thanks for all the love and support folks!
A morning in a fort.

Jeff & Anna.
September 14, 2011
Anna is one of the funnest people. Ever. Her laugh is like the most contagious thing ever.
And Jeff. Well everyone wants to be like Jeff. I know I do.
Mix all that up in a blender and you get an amazing couple who fell in love, can’t live without each other, and got married.
Here is the story of what happened in Olathe, Kansas on August 13th.

Jordan and Janine: Wedding
August 8, 2011
Jordan is my older brother.
we got engaged and married only days apart.
because of that we have such a special bond type thing going on.
you might not know though, that Jordan is an extraordinary human.
it just so happens that he married another extraordinary human.
they are insanely passionate and kind.
they are very in love with each other.
they don’t care if people think they’re cool.
but they’re cool.
they laugh a lot and even have their own secret mumbling language.
they do very little talking and tons of living.
they are inspiring to those around them.
words can not express the honor it was to witness and take part in their wedding day and to tell the story of it.
i love you guys.
The best week ever.

At one point during our honeymoon in Alaska, I thanked Eric for providing for and taking care of me. He looked at me for a second, and without much thought said, “I just feel like it’s what I’m supposed to do, kind of like I was made to.”
I am overflowing and overwhelmed. In the best way.
Here are a few photos from the best week of my life thus far.
We watched a Beyonce concert on the boat for a few minutes. Just so we wouldn’t get too far away from reality. Ya know.

Eric downing 1.5 pounds of fudge. Then caught in the act.
Eric takes climbing breaks as frequently as normal people take potty breaks. It’s cute.
Stay tuned for our wedding pictures, coming soon! To see a few now and more from our trip to Alaska, find me on Facebook.
Otherwise, goodnight.
